Belly Dance Costumes - Tips and Tricks to Make Your Own

Belly dance is the Next Big Thing in pursuit of women, and no wonder. It is gentle on the body, learn beneficial to the female body, fun and easy to use.

In fact, it's so easy to learn that many women began to learn "just for fun" suddenly join a dance group and on stage!

Began at this point, what is as an inexpensive hobby can quickly cost a fortune if you're not careful. If you live in the U.S., Europe or Australia, professional costumes in your local shops are probably recorded in the hundreds of dollars. It's hard to justify for an amateur, but what can you do?

One option is to shop online. I have a belly dance shop on my own website (see below), where you can see what kinds of prizes on offer from overseas suppliers for belly dancing costumes and accessories. It is possible to save a lot of money, but even so, the cost rises to yet.

The other solution is to make it himself. If you're not good at sewing, that may sound huge - but it is not as bad as it sounds.

The first thing is to remember that costumes are all turning on the theater, and theater is all about illusion. Your everyday clothes must be clean and flattened, stitched with real darts and no raw edges. But f you always dance on a stage, your costume need only good enough to fool the eye from the final distance. If you dance in a cabaret, closer to the audience, then thelook outside of your clothing has to be perfect - but who cares, if the threads are on the inside not quite straight?

You'll be surprised how many ordinary garments can be turned into belly dance costumes. Summer tops that tie under the chest and abdomen can be given some bling by edges it with sequins (you can buy sequin trim ready) wide long strips of three or four sequins. Even an ordinary cotton top, dyed black, can be sewn with some stunning beading! Another good trick is toto meet and old bra with stretchy velvet or shiny lycra - it must be attached only! They could include bra straps with the same material, or use trim the sequins, or lichens.

Look out for sales for cheap jewelry or accessories dealer. You may find cheap chains or bracelets, which cancel and use the stones decorate bras or belts. If you are a regular customer, you may even be able to convince you to give any broken or damaged pieces for free.

Skirts aremore difficult to forge, if you Egyptian or Turkish style and want a modern, hip-hugging dance style. A good option is stretch velvet, which does not seams or darts, and forgive, if you make a mistake while cutting or sewing! You may also be an effective look with a hip scarf and tie one or two veils: the hip scarf firmly around the waist, then swathe the veil (s) around the legs like a skirt, put it under the loincloth so that keeps the scarf the veil in place. TryArrange the excess veil into two "springs", one on each hip.

"Faking" costumes can be fun, so give it a try!
